Since retiring from elite sport, I’ve had the privilege of working with schools across the UK and around the world — giving students the chance to meet a Team GB Olympian, hear real-life stories from the world of elite sport, and take part in fun, high-energy swimming sessions.

Whether I’m speaking in assemblies or jumping in the pool for a technique-focused clinic, I always make time to connect with both students and staff.

Young athletes love seeing an Olympian in action — but even those less into sport find the sessions valuable. I talk about things that matter to every student: goal setting, bouncing back from setbacks, managing nerves, and giving your best even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed.

My core message? Don’t let fear of failure stop you from showing up. It’s not your results that define you — it’s your mindset, your attitude, and your resilience.

Every visit is tailored to your school — from the pool sessions to the presentation style. I’ve delivered prize-giving speeches, helped launch sports days, and even raced students in end-of-term galas. However you’d like to structure the day, I’ll work with you to make it count.

Online webinars

During the Covid-19 pandemic I adapted my content into an entire syllabus of online presentations, each focused on a different part of the elite athlete mindset. Although lockdowns are firmly behind us (thank goodness!), online workshops give me the opportunity to reach audiences across the globe, and continue to be and accessible and part of my core delivery offer.
